Pick them when
You want measurement and nothing else, you have somebody to act on it, and you track a lot of prompts. At 350 prompts on Advanced they are cheaper per prompt than we are, and they say so on their own pricing page.
Checked facts
- Its paid tiers let you choose 3 models from ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity and Gemini. All eleven models are Enterprise only. (source, checked 2026-08-23)
- Every advertised monthly figure is an annual-billing price. The page prints Starter at $80/mo with Annual and Save $180 beside it. (source, checked 2026-08-23)
- The query "peec ai alternative" carries a $25.00 cost per click. (DataForSEO keyword volume, checked 2026-08-23)
- Its own domain holds 2,547 referring domains. (DataForSEO backlinks, checked 2026-08-23)
Ranked by how far each one takes you
The job runs in three steps: read what the answer engines say, find the pages and people behind those answers, then send the approach. Most tools in this category do the first step only. Every cell below comes from the vendor's own published pages, and a field we have not checked says so rather than counting against them.
| Tool | Reads answer engines | Finds who can cite you | Drafts and sends | Cheapest paid tier | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Mentionry (this site) | Yes | Yes | Yes | $99/mo |
| 2 | Featured.com | Yes | Yes | Not checked | $29/mo |
| 3 | AirOps | Yes* | No | No | Not published |
| 4 | Otterly.AI | Yes | No | No | $29/month |
| 5 | Peec AI | Yes | No | No | $80/mo |
| 6 | Profound | Yes | No | No | $99/month |
| 7 | Scrunch AI | Yes | No | No | $250/mo |
* AirOps: ChatGPT only, and only from its Solo tier up — the rest of the product is content production.
Why Mentionry is first: it is the only row that does not stop at the reading. It records what the answer engines on your plan say about you every day, then takes the pages those answers cited and finds the journalists, podcasts, awards and contributor programmes behind them, plus the pages linking to your competitors and not to you. Each opening is judged one at a time, and the ones worth taking arrive with the email already written. As with every tool here, the engines depend on the rung: $99 a month runs ChatGPT alone, $399 runs 3 engines, and the quoted tier runs every engine that can run.
Mentionry sends from your own connected mailbox. Whether a page then cites you is the publisher's decision, not ours, and nothing here is promised.
Why look for an alternative to Peec AI
Peec AI measures visibility. It tells you how often your brand is mentioned in answers from ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and other assistants. That is useful data. It shows you where you are absent.
Absence is not a plan. Knowing you are not named does not tell you who to approach, what to send, or which pages already link to your competitors and not to you. The work of getting cited begins where measurement ends.
You search for an alternative when you need the second half. You want the pages the answers cited, the journalists asking for sources, the podcasts booking guests, and the message drafted and sent from your own mailbox. This page lists tools that offer some of that.
Peec AI
Peec AI is an AI search analytics platform. It tracks brand mentions across answer engines and reports share of voice and visibility. Its published pricing is annual. The Starter plan is $80 a month billed annually, for 50 prompts and three models. The Pro plan is $205 a month billed annually, for 150 prompts. The Advanced plan is $420 a month billed annually, for 350 prompts. Enterprise is custom.
Its paid tiers let you choose three models from a list that includes ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, and Gemini. All eleven models are available only on the Enterprise tier. The tool covers measurement. It does not cover journalist requests, podcast booking, speaking opportunities, awards, bylined articles, unlinked mentions, outreach drafts, or backlink gap analysis.
Pick Peec AI when you want measurement and nothing else, you have somebody to act on the data, and you track a lot of prompts. At 350 prompts on the Advanced tier, their cost per prompt is lower than many alternatives. Choose an alternative when you need the reading and then the work.
Featured.com
Featured.com is an AI PR co-pilot. It finds media opportunities and helps you pitch them. The company is behind Connectively, which was formerly HARO. Its published pricing includes a Free tier with a daily credit allowance, a Lite tier at $29 a month billed annually, and a Pro tier at $79 a month billed annually. A Pro+ tier scales usage.
It covers journalist requests, finding journalists, podcast guest booking, speaking opportunities, industry awards, bylined articles, AI answer visibility, and unlinked mentions. It does not cover backlink gap analysis, link prospecting, or resource page link building. The homepage lists link gap analysis as a capability, but the pricing page does not include it among the features.
Pick Featured.com when you want the earn channel and nothing else, you want it inexpensive, and you are comfortable working inside a chat interface. They are good at this. Pick an alternative when you also need the links your competitors already have. That half of the problem is not in their product.
Profound
Profound does answer engine optimisation. It tracks brand appearances across AI answer engines, reports prompt volumes and agent traffic, and runs content agents against what it finds. Its published pricing is annual. The Starter plan is $99 a month billed yearly, tracking ChatGPT only with 50 prompts. The Growth plan is $399 a month billed yearly, tracking three answer engines with 100 prompts. Enterprise is custom.
The Starter tier tracks ChatGPT and nothing else. Perplexity and Google AI Overviews start at the Growth tier. Enterprise is the only tier with SSO and the only one that tracks more than three answer engines. The tool covers AI answer visibility and LLM visibility tracking. It does not cover journalist requests, podcast booking, speaking opportunities, awards, bylined articles, unlinked mentions, outreach drafts, or backlink gap analysis.
Pick Profound when you are an enterprise, you want the deepest measurement in the category, and you want prompt volumes and agent traffic alongside it. They have the most data and the most engines at the Enterprise level. Pick an alternative when you want the reading and then the work. Their agents write content. Others find the people who can cite you and draft the approach from your own mailbox.
AirOps
AirOps is a content production platform with AI search visibility layered on top. It tracks prompts and pages, then runs workflows and agents to write and refresh content against what it finds. Its pricing page publishes a figure for one tier only. The Insights tier is $0 a month. Solo, Pro, Pages, and Enterprise carry limits and no published price.
The Solo tier's AI search insights cover ChatGPT only. Multi-engine insights start at the Pro tier. The tool covers AI answer visibility and LLM visibility tracking. It does not cover journalist requests, podcast booking, speaking opportunities, awards, unlinked mentions, outreach drafts, or backlink gap analysis.
Pick AirOps when your bottleneck is producing content rather than knowing where you stand. The workflow and grid tooling are strong, and the free tier lets you try it. Pick an alternative when you want to know what a plan costs before a call, and you want the off-site half: the pages the answers cited and the approach drafted and sent.
Scrunch AI
Scrunch AI is AI search monitoring moving toward what the company calls an Agent Experience Platform. It tracks brand citations, agent traffic on your own site, and runs site audits aimed at how AI agents read it. Its published pricing includes a Core tier at $250 a month for 125 prompts and four engines, with a free trial. Enterprise is custom.
The Core tier tracks four engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Copilot. All nine engines, API access, and SSO are Enterprise only. The tool covers AI answer visibility and LLM visibility tracking. It does not cover journalist requests, podcast booking, speaking opportunities, awards, bylined articles, unlinked mentions, outreach drafts, or backlink gap analysis.
Pick Scrunch AI when you care as much about what AI agents do on your site as what they say about you elsewhere. Their agent traffic and site audit work is developed. Pick an alternative when you want the off-site half. Their audits tell you how to make your pages readable to an agent. Getting named on somebody else's page is a different job.
Otterly.AI
Otterly.AI is AI search monitoring. It tracks brand mentions and link citations across AI answer engines, with prompt research and a generative engine optimisation audit. Its published prices are monthly. The Lite tier is $29 a month for 15 prompts across four engines. The Standard tier is $189 a month. The Premium tier is $489 a month. Enterprise starts from $1,000 a month.
The Lite tier covers ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and Copilot. Claude, Gemini, and Google AI Mode are paid add-ons on every tier. The tool covers AI answer visibility and LLM visibility tracking. It does not cover journalist requests, podcast booking, speaking opportunities, awards, bylined articles, unlinked mentions, outreach drafts, or backlink gap analysis.
Pick Otterly.AI when you want to start cheaply on a monthly term. Fifteen prompts across four engines for $29 is the lowest monthly price in this category. Pick an alternative when fifteen prompts only answers whether you are absent. It does not answer what to do about it.
Mentionry
Mentionry finds the specific places a business can get a backlink and writes the thing you have to send to get it. You give it a domain. It works out who that site competes with, then runs two engines. One finds pages that link to your competitors and not to you, plus resource pages and directories. The other finds journalists asking for sources, podcasts booking guests, conferences taking speakers, awards taking entries, and articles that already name you without linking.
It also measures what the answer engines say about the business. The user writes the questions their buyers actually ask. Each one is run on a schedule on the engines on their plan, and the answer text, citation URLs, and named brands are recorded. Visibility and share of voice are computed from those records. This channel reads Google AI Overviews. The other engines are what answer engine tracking records.
Every opportunity comes with a drafted email, form submission, or reply sent from the user's own connected mailbox. Links are verified after the fact. A link removed or turned nofollow later shows as a change. Nothing here is promised. Mentionry sends the pitch. It cannot place or publish a link on somebody else's page.
Its published pricing starts from $99 a month on the Watch plan. The Earn plan is $399 a month. Agency is quoted. Several channels are not built, including broken link building, registries, and relationship inventory. HARO, Source of Sources, and Connectively are not pulled in automatically. A query from those services has to be pasted in to be judged and drafted.
How to choose
Decide what you need first. If you only need to measure your visibility across AI answer engines, choose a tool that specialises in that. Compare the cost per prompt and the number of engines tracked on the tier you can afford. Remember that many published monthly prices require an annual commitment.
If you need to act on that visibility, you need a tool that finds opportunities and helps you pitch. Check whether it covers the specific channels you care about: journalist requests, podcast bookings, speaking slots, awards, or the pages that already link to your competitors. Verify that the pitching is done from your own mailbox, not from a shared sender address.
Ignore claims about link placement. No tool can guarantee a link appears on another site. The act they control is sending the pitch. The act they do not control is the publication. Choose the tool that finds the right opportunities and drafts the right approach for your business. Then send it from your own address and track what happens.
Questions people actually ask
What does Peec AI not do that its alternatives do?
Peec AI tracks brand mentions in AI answer engines and reports share of voice. It does not find the people you can pitch, like journalists asking for sources or podcast hosts booking guests. It does not find resource pages or listicles that already link to your competitors. It does not draft outreach emails or send them from your own mailbox. Alternatives add some or all of those actions.
Which alternative is the cheapest?
Otterly.AI has the lowest published monthly entry price at $29 for 15 prompts across four engines. Featured.com has a free tier and a Lite tier at $29 a month billed annually. Peec AI, Profound, and AirOps publish annual billing prices, so their effective monthly cost is lower than the sticker price if you commit for a year. Always check the billing term.
Do any of these tools guarantee backlinks?
No. A tool can send a pitch from your mailbox. It cannot force another site to publish a link. Some vendors imply placement, but the actual promise is the sending. Mentionry verifies links after a pitch is sent and reports if a link is added, removed, or changed. Nothing is guaranteed.
Can these tools pull in HARO queries automatically?
Most cannot. HARO, Source of Sources, and Connectively are separate platforms. Mentionry does not read mailboxes or log into those services, so a query has to be pasted in to be judged and drafted. Featured.com, which runs Connectively, integrates its own service but still requires you to act within its chat interface. Check each tool's documentation.
How do I know if I need measurement or action?
Start with measurement if you do not know where your brand stands in AI answers. If the data shows you are absent, you then need a way to get named. If you already know you are not mentioned, or if your goal is specifically to earn links and mentions, start with a tool that finds opportunities and drafts pitches. Some tools, like Mentionry, offer both measurement and action in one product.
Run this against your own domain
Give it a domain and it works out who you compete with, mines the pages that link to them and not to you, judges every opening one at a time, and writes the email, the form or the reply. It sends them from your own mailbox, so the replies come to you.
Find out what your domain is missing
Every answer the engines give about you, read daily, with every source behind it sorted by who controls it. Some sites already have a pool worth working and some have everything left to earn, and this is the reading that tells them apart.

Creating an account takes no card. Billing is a person reading an email, so the plan you ask for is the plan you get.
