Link Prospecting
Link prospecting is finding the pages that could link to your site and deciding what to send. Mentionry does both.
Mentionry is the AI marketing platform built for the agentic era: it sees what your customers ask AI, deploys your AI Marketer to find and pitch the opportunities, and measures the results. It reads pages that link to your competitors and not to you, plus resource pages, listicles and directories found by searching your niche. Every opportunity is judged individually, a draft is written, and the email is sent from your own connected mailbox. Nothing is placed or published by the tool.

What link prospecting is
Link prospecting is the first step in earning a backlink. You find a page on another site that could reasonably add a link to yours. Then you decide what to send to the person who controls that page. The work is in the judgment, not the list.
A good prospect is a page where your link would be a genuine addition. It might be a resource page missing your tool, a listicle where your company belongs, or a blog post that cites a competitor and should cite you too. A bad prospect is a page that sells links, a directory that charges for inclusion, or a site with no editorial connection to your work. The difference is whether the link helps the reader.
Prospecting at scale means checking many pages quickly. You need to see the page, understand why a link fits, and identify a contact. Doing this manually for hundreds of pages is slow. Doing it with a broad scrape that includes every page with a keyword is noisy. The middle ground is a focused read of pages that have a clear reason to link.
How Mentionry prospects for links
You give Mentionry your domain. It identifies your direct competitors. Then it runs a prospecting engine. The engine reads two kinds of pages. First, it finds pages that link to your competitors but not to you. Second, it searches for resource pages, listicles and industry directories directly.
It opens each page. If the page cannot be opened, it is reported as unchecked. For each page it reads, a model judges whether your business can honestly be added. The model can refuse. It says no to paid placements, irrelevant pages, and opportunities where your link would not fit. What remains is a shortlist of specific pages with a written reason for each.
On a measured run for one domain, the engine read 110 openings. It judged 40 of them. It kept 14. The 14 kept were the prospects. Each came with a drafted email, form submission or reply. The draft is written into your own connected mailbox and sent from your address. Replies land in your thread.
After a pitch is sent, Mentionry checks back. It verifies whether the link appeared, on which page, with what anchor text, and if it is still there. A link removed or turned nofollow later shows as a change. This reports what was earned, not how many emails were sent.
What it will not do
Mentionry sends the pitch. It does not place, publish or deliver the link. Placing a link is the other site's decision. The tool finds the opportunity and writes the ask. The outcome is not promised.
The Opportunities and Desk exclude paid placements by design. Buying links that pass ranking signals violates Google's link spam policy. The penalty lands on the customer's site. Mentionry's AI Marketer will not draft a pitch for a paid link; if a reply asks for payment, it declines and explains why.
It does not build sequences, manage a CRM, or handle team workflows. There is no database of contacts. Drafts live in your browser. Reply state is read live from your mailbox. It is for the person who wants the opportunity found and the message drafted, and who already has a place to send it from.
It does not pull in queries from HARO, Source of Sources or Connectively automatically. Those platforms work. HARO emails its queries. You can paste one into Mentionry and it will be judged and drafted like any other opening. The tool does not read your mailbox or log into those services.
When to use Mentionry instead of an outreach platform
Pitchbox is an enterprise outreach and link building platform. It covers prospecting, email sequences, CRM and reporting. Its Pro plan is 300 dollars a month billed monthly, or 210 dollars a month billed annually, for two users and 2,000 emails a month. Choose Pitchbox when you run outreach at agency scale across many clients and need seats, sequences and reporting. Choose Mentionry when you have one site, you do not want to build a sequence, and 300 dollars a month before you have sent anything is the wrong shape.
Respona sells placements outright on a pay per result basis with a published guarantee of publisher Domain Rating. Its prices range from 100 dollars per placement on a DR 20 plus publisher to 500 dollars for DR 60 plus. The client chooses the anchor text and target URL. Google's link spam policy treats buying links that pass ranking signals as a violation. Choose Respona if you want a guaranteed placement on a domain of a stated Domain Rating within 28 days and have decided that risk is acceptable. Choose Mentionry because paying per placement with the anchor text and URL under your control is a link scheme, and the penalty lands on your site.
BuzzStream is an outreach CRM for link building and digital PR. It covers prospect lists, contact discovery, sequences and team workflow. Choose BuzzStream when you need a shared outreach CRM with history and reporting across a team. Choose Mentionry when you want the opportunity found and the message drafted, and you already have a mailbox.
Preguntas que la gente realmente hace
Mentionry does not promise any number of links. It finds specific pages that can link to you and writes the pitch. Whether a link then appears is the other site's decision. On a measured run, 110 page openings yielded 14 kept prospects. Your results will depend on your site, your competitors and the pages the engine reads. The product reports what it earned through verification, not a projection.
