What is the Mentionry MCP server?
Mentionry runs a remote MCP server at https://mentionry.com/api/mcp that gives an AI agent ten tools: qualify a domain, read a site, discover its competitors, find the pages linking to those competitors but not to you, search for link prospects, check whether the links you pitched have appeared, draft one outreach email, and list, describe and run the agents you built on the canvas. It speaks Streamable HTTP and authenticates with a Mentionry API key, so there is nothing to install and nothing to run locally. The tools obey the same plan and the same daily limits as the dashboard, and none of them sends mail.

The last three are the widest thing here. An agent is a chain you assembled on the canvas out of steps that read pages, search, score content, ask answer engines and call APIs, so run_agent is every combination of those you thought was worth keeping, reachable from anything that speaks MCP. There is no tool that creates or edits one: a caller able to write a chain could point a request anywhere and run it on your account, so chains are built by a person on the canvas, where the cost of each step is drawn on it.

It will not find you a paid placement, because buying links that pass ranking signals is a spam policy violation and the penalty lands on your site. It will not report a page as unlinked when it could not read it. And it is not a separate product with separate limits: every call is counted against the same daily allowance the dashboard uses, and the free plan has a total as well as a daily figure. You can see both on your account page.
Questions
No. API keys are available on the free plan, and nine of the ten tools work on it, including the domain diagnostic and the backlink gap. Only draft_pitch needs a paid plan, because drafting is a paid capability in the dashboard too. The free plan has a daily allowance and a lifetime total, both of which are shown on your account page.
